Reports to:

Vice President of Design

Responsible for leading the design engineering teams, providing technical direction and processes and best practices for product design services.


  • Drive product development projects insuring adequate resources and timely design reviews.
  • Support the determination of product requirements as specified by the customer or any internal or external standards.
  • Direct the efforts of an engineer to accomplish tasks.
  • Ensure product design liabilities are identified and mitigated.
  • Support the company efforts to reduce costs associated with supplied components.
  • Assure customer satisfaction through all activities associated with the design and development.
  • Assure all product design engineering activities are performed in accordance with established procedures.
  • Report to management any problems concerning product performance or timely completion of projects.
  • Attend meetings with internal and external customers.
  • Cost Reduction



  •  Bachelor degree is required. BSME or BS in engineering is preferred.



  • Some experience in Engineering Management.
  • 10 + years of Interior trim, Door Trim or Headliner (roofing) experience
  • Some experience with product development processes and disciplines preferably in an automotive industry.
  • Some experience in disciplined problem solving approach.
  • Some experience in interior trim and headliner (roofing)


  •   Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  •   Knowledge of CATIA V5
  •   Plastic Injection Molding (3D A-surface Modeling)
  •   Interior Trim, door trim, headliner (roofing)
