Reports to:  Group Leader/ Supervisor/Manager


Overview:  Under the direction of the group leader, supervisor or manager the Process Technician is responsible for the processing, setup and troubleshooting of the machines in their assigned work area. 



  • Responsible for all processes, equipment, preventative maintenance, safety and housekeeping of the assigned work area and meeting established procedures and 5S standards
  • Enter program into machines as required from production control schedules
  • Maintains stable processes for injection presses
  • Compliant with all OSHA and safe work practices when there are die changes
  • Ensures Press parameters are within control limits
  • Make limited processing changes and record data
  • Collect or select samples for testing or for use models
  • Marks items with details such as grade or acceptance-rejection status
  • Compare colors, shapes, textures, or grades of products, materials samples to verify conformance to standards
  • Ensure Press Operations are functioning properly and effectively
  • Ensure Quality of parts produced meets set standards
  • Correct issues with Quality or Operations if abnormal
  • Make minor adjustments for Quality or Performance on Press/Die/Waterjet/Kisscut
  • Supports affective scrap and cost reduction programs
  • Performs a variety of activities requiring communication and support to other employees.
  • Should be able to perform other jobs in assigned work area in case of employee absence or additional requirements.
  • Responsible for processing and troubleshooting of all machines in their area, training techniques of new employees, and assisting other areas in trouble shooting and processing as required
  • Authorities for an employee are granted by means of work instructions, policies and procedures and/or direction provided by management to meet the requirements of the customer



  • High School Education or GED

Training Specific to placement in position

  • Crane Certified
  • Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO)
  • Electrical Safety Training
  • Confined Spaces Training


  • Must have been a Group Leader/or Lead Tech at KNA at least 2 years
  • 1+ Year Press Experience
  • Knowledge of Windows operating system and with Microsoft Office Suite
  • IJM: RJG Injection Mold Essential Course (Site Specific TNMN)


  • Must be able to lift loads up to 40 lbs
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills, i.e. (excel)
  • Able to trouble shoot machinery, tools and equipment
  • Sets the example in attendance, work safety, and housekeeping


Work Environment: This job operates in an manufacturing environment, and routinely uses standard office equipment.  The work environment can also be hot.  The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud, but are compliant with OSHA standards


Physical Demands: This job requires standing for long periods of time , reaching, talking handling objects with hands, walking stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling, and lifting up to 40 lbs : Vision requirements:  Ability to see information in print or electronically
