Reports To: Quality General Manger


>The Environmental Coordinator is also referred to as the Environmental Management Representative.  As such this person performs technical assignments to ensure compliance with all environmental regulations on all local, state and federal levels (if not contracted out). Conducts required environmental tests.  Performs problem solving techniques to improve and maintain the environmental standards of the plants.  Coordinates and implements engineering methods to the processes that support, cost and delivery goals and objectives.



  •  Responsible for the maintenance and updating of the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System
  •  Collect and maintain records to insure compliance of materials and to have data to report malfunctions in the system should they occur; example – spray booth filter change logs, air velocity logs,
  • Production data collection, usage and waste, stack testing and working with a third party consultant.
  • Waste and storm water testing and reporting to both local and federal levels if needed
  • Maintains monitoring instrumentation and equipment for waste and storm waster collection.
  • Hazardous Waste reporting and all related activities.
  •  Performs audits to evaluate and control environmental hazards.
  •  Assists Safety in coordination of  noise levels and air quality
  •  Trains associates on yearly required environment requirement to meet compliance
  •  Assists Safety to ensure MSDS(s) are on-site and evaluated for hazards.
  •  Accumulates and stores all records of environmental issues within and related to each physical plant; example – fire, tornado or bomb threats evacuations or any take shelter conditions
  •  Conducts Environmental Management team meetings on a regular basis.
  • Assists in monitoring for health and safety violations.
  • Must work in a safe manner in compliance with M-TEK policies and maintain an awareness of danger to themselves and others.
  • Support the implementation, achievement, and maintenance of the Quality and Environmental Policies and Procedures.
  • Must be able to work any shift and overtime as required to support the TS/ISO Standards.
  • May be required to travel on company business
  • Title V compliance testing (if not contracted)
  • Tier II reporting to the State and all related activities. (if not contracted)


  • BS Degree plus 5 years environmental experience. Manufacturing experience in injection mold / plastics helpful.


  • Five to Ten years or more specificity in the environmental area.

  •  Auditing training – preferred
