Reports to:  Human Resources Manager



HR Recruiting Coordinator is primarily responsible for the sourcing and placement of applicants into primarily non-exempt positions to support plant operations.  Activities include recruiting, sourcing and onboarding new employees. 


Essential Job Functions

  • Recruit for positions local to a manufacturing location.
  • Process onboarding documentation for new hires.
  • Coordinate job requisition process in place for hiring to ensure appropriate approvals.
  • Review results of background checks and communicate issues accordingly.
  • Counsel hiring managers on best practices for interviewing.
  • Set phone screens/interviews, prepare and maintain offer letters for job offers made to employment applicants (for all KNA locations)
  • Inform job applicants of details such as duties and responsibilities, compensation, benefits, schedules, working conditions or promotion opportunities
  • Ensure that recruitment and employment activities are in compliance with government regulations
  • Utilize company ATS and comply with corporate standards for employee on-boarding
  • Support local hiring events like job fairs and work with local hiring resources
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with colleges & universities and diverse professional organizations
  • Authorities for an employee are granted by means of work instructions, policies and procedures and/or direction provided by management to meet the requirements of the customer


Position Requirements

  • High School Education.  Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience preferred.
  • Recruitment and direct sourcing experience required


Desired Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge

  • Ability to influence others, build strong relationships and networks
  • Working knowledge of Human Resource System for the purposes of employee onboarding
  • Working knowledge of applicant tracking systems (ATS), social media and recruiting process workflows 
  • Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations that impact hiring and termination decisions
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Strong customer relations skills


Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.  


Physical Demands:

The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee may also be required to work in hot temperatures.
