Reports To:  Manufacturing Engineering Manager

 

Description:  Lead or assist projects from award to launch for KNA facilities. Coordinate test and trial components from suppliers and manufacturing facilities to be delivered to customers.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop schedules and track the project from Request For Quotation(RFQ) to SOP
  • Key customer contact until SOP
  • Attend & report trial & joint check results with team
  • Attend and coordinate run at rates with customer
  • Oversee material trial orders and trial shipments to customer
  • Lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) teams and report directly to Upper management constantly
  • Guides completion of OEM customer required documentation until project launch
  • Monitors internal tooling, supplier tooling and suppler part delivery for pre-launch projects
  • Monitors Cost targets throughout trials and launch with other team members
  • Monitors & track KPI targets for project
  • Must work in a safe manner in compliance with KNA policies and maintain an awareness of danger to themselves and others
  • Support the implementation, achievement, and maintenance of the Quality and Environmental Policies and Procedures
  • Must be able to work any shift and overtime as required to support manufacturing engineering, suppliers, and customers
  • May be required to travel on company business
  • Training Technical Personnel
  • Authorities for an employee are granted by means of work instructions, policies and procedures and/or direction provided by management to meet the requirements of the customer

 

Education Required:

  • 4 year Technical Degree in business related field

 or

  • 5 years experience in program coordination

Training Required:

  • Program specific training as needed

Skills Required:

  • Microsoft Office Experience (Excel, Word, Project)

Experience Required:

  • Managing project and program schedules

Work Environment:

This job operates in an office and manufacturing environment, and routinely uses standard office equipment. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

 

Physical Demands:

The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee may also be required to work in hot temperatures.
