Performs various skilled and semi-skilled tasks in repair and maintenance of Dies and Molds.  Work involves primary responsibility for proficiency in several trades, with working conditions and the degree of supervision exercised difference according to the location and nature of assignments.





  1. Must know all Safety Requirements, Departmental and Plant Wide.
  2. Must be able to maintain departmental 5-S for assigned areas and equipment.
  3. Must be able to complete required departmental paper work.  Have general knowledge of computer software and maintenance work order system.
  4. Must have ability to operate all plant equipment. Know start up of all utilities.
  5. Must be able to complete all paperwork necessary to the group leader position.
  6. Must be able to work off written and verbal instructions.
  7. Must be familiar with process flow charts of work orders. Must be able to check employees work and correct any problems.
  8. Must know all aspects of QS/EMS requirements as they relate to our department.
  9. Must be able to work from a schedule to ensure tasks are complete in a timely manner.
  10. Must be effective in training new employees as well as keeping all employees up on all procedures as they are described in our procedure manual.
  11. Must be able to spot problems with equipment and personnel, and know what steps to take to correct any of these problems.
  12. Must be able to effectively demonstrate proper use of all shop equipment.
  13. Always improving on problem solving, tools, equipment, man power and moral and report to supervisor.
  14. Must be #1 safety officer for the shift. Able to keep safety #1 in all employees by allowing safety items such as films and meetings to be carried out without interruption.
  15. Support the implementation, achievement, and maintenance of the Quality and Environmental Policies and Procedures.


  • High School education or GED.


  • 1 – 2 years on the job training verified
  • 3 – 5 years on the job training verified



  • Considerable knowledge of methods, materials, tools and practices used in electrical or mechanical areas.
  • Must be able to detect defects in machinery and equipment and make proper repairs or adjustments.
  • Ability to interface and work from sketches and prints.
