TN Sales position will be handling parts supplied to Toyota and Nissan such as Door Linings, Roof Linings, etc.  The position we are filling has dealings with several of the Toyota divisions and has responsibilities with New Model Projects, Mass Production, Service Parts, and Prototype while acting as the main window to the customer.

Req'd Experience: At least 2 year(s)

Responsible for gathering information from different departments within company and clients to create detail quotes. Tracks and maintains existing accounts and programs. Interprets blueprints and confirms requirements and specifications with customer. Assesses engineering changes and cost of them and maintains records. Reports for both internal management and the company's customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Obtain/analyze data (drawings, suppliers' quotes, engineering changes, etc.), create detail quotes, and negotiate with customer.
  2. Maintain cost tracking of the program through each engineering change level.
  3. Submit customer forms for pricing changes when engineering changes are implemented.
  4. Submit cost estimates to the customer for potential engineering changes.
  5. Follow up on customer purchase orders for tracking and payment.
  6. Review engineering change requests for financial impact and approve changes once financial responsibility has been identified.
  7. Provide and explain price detail information to internal management and the customer.
  8. Track spot buy purchase orders from the customer, primarily during the prototype stages of the program.
  9. Provide financial status of the program (profit and loss) for piece price and tooling status.

Job Requirements

  • Efficiency using Microsoft Office applications (with strong proficiency in Excel). Post-secondary education in Business 
  • Superior writing and editing skills 
  • 2 – 5 years' experience in similar role 
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, managing multiple deadlines 
  • Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) 
  • Project oriented, self-motivated work style with ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities
  • Good communication skills, good interpersonal skills, the ability to work with a dynamic team and a demanding customer, as well as multiple personality types and cultures. 
  • Have the ability to present financial information in support of the company's goals. 
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision. 

Education and/or Experience: Preferred bachelor's degree, 2+ years related experience. Ideal candidate will have previous experience working for a Tier I or Tier II Automotive company.
Language Skills: Ability to communicate effectively--both written and oral.

Mathematical Skills: College level with understanding of general business applications.
Physical Demands: Ability to sit at workstation for extensive periods of time is required.

Work Environment: Open office environment.

Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
