Reports to: SQA Manager


  • Issue corrective action "8D" requests as needed
  • Evaluate the results of "8D" responses as to acceptability of corrective action.
  • Interact with external customers, internal customers, and suppliers
  • Coordinate the containment and movement of rejected supplier material movement with Production Departments, Production Control, Receiving Inspection, and Suppliers
  • Generate reports, graphs, and charts as needed
  • Oversee data collection and interpretation to coordinate improvement efforts with suppliers
  • Assist receiving inspection personnel with inspection of materials/products for aesthetic and dimensional accuracy
  • Provide Kasai NA quality expectations for purchased materials/products to suppliers
  • Monitor and enforce IATF 16949 & ISO 14001 policies and procedures
  • Verify the accuracy of all documentation related to supplier quality
  • Perform supplier process audits according to ISO/TS standards
  • Work with supplier to develop product, logistics, efficiency, cost, etc. and deliver technical training when necessary
  • Oversee change management process related to supplier quality, capability, and manufacturing capacity
  • Follow established work practices that support compliance with all company policies, safety standards, 5S practices, regulatory and/or customer requirements
  • Authorities for an employee are granted by means of work instructions, policies and procedures and/or direction provided by management to meet the requirements of the customer

**Senior Supplier Quality Engineer: Mentors new supplier quality engineers in the quality department in company procedures, engineering principles, and work practices


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, industrial technology, manufacturing engineering or equivalent, or minimum of 4-6 years in the Quality field with 2 years in a manufacturing environment
  • Previous automotive experience, preferred
  • Ability to speak Spanish helpful, but not required


  • Experience working with Windows operating system as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). V-Ridge or AutoCAD experience preferred, but not required
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Capable of using basic measurement devices such as micrometers, calipers, and indicators
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, etc...


  • Ability to travel for extended periods of time with limited prior notice
  • Must be able to work any assigned shift
  • Must have the ability to judge color visually and must pass the Farnsworth Munsell 100 Hue test every 2 years and pass test with a minimum score of 50

Work Environment:

This job operates in an office and manufacturing environment, and routinely uses standard office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

Physical Demands:

The employee frequently is required to sit, and occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
