REPORTS TO: Engineer/Supervisor/Maintenance

DESCRIPTION: Collaborate and coordinate the activities of Die Change Associates


  • Conducts the new member training of associates

  • Coordinate the schedule and activities for the Die Change Associates

  • Oversees the training and effectiveness of Die Change Associates

  • Maintains the training record for all Die Change Associates

  • Ensures injection presses are stable and within parameters

  • Verifies any changes made to presses are correct and recorded

  • Ensures the programs entered into presses are correct

  • Operates and maintains robots, forklifts, hoists, and cranes to perform material movement

  • Confers with production process engineer/production control/supervisor/to establish die change schedules and follows up to assure completion of those schedules

  • Marks items with details such as grade or acceptance-rejection status

  • Ensure proper resin is used for completion of schedule

  • Clean, flush, maintain, calibrate, or repair instruments, or test equipment such as dial indicators, fixed gauges,

  • Meet with department supervisors or other personnel to assess completeness, accuracy and conformance to standards and specifications

  • Compare colors, shapes, textures, or grades of products, materials samples to verify conformance to standards

  • Must be flexible in shift assignments and ability to work overtime as required

  • Suggests and supports affective scrap and cost reduction programs

  • Support the implementation, achievement, and maintenance of the Quality and Environmental Policies and 5S Procedures


  • High School Education or GED


  • Must have been a Group Leader at KNA at least 2 years

  • Preventive Maintenance Knowledge

  • Understanding of Tool and Die functions (heaters, ejectors, watering, etc.)

  • Knowledge of Windows operating system and with Microsoft Office Suite

  • - IJM: RJG Injection Molding Essentials Course (Site Specific TNMN)

Training Specific to placement in position

  • Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO)

  • Electrical Safety

  • Crane Safety Certification Training

  • Confined Spaces Training-Video


  • Must be able to lift loads up to 40 lbs

  • Basic Microsoft Office skills. i.e. (excel)

  • Able to trouble shoot machinery, tools and equipment

  • Sets the example in attendance, work safety, and housekeeping


Work Environment: This job operates in a manufacturing environment, and routinely uses standard office equipment. The temperature in the work environment can be hot. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud, but are compliant with OSHA standards
