Performs engineering/technical assignments to a process or processes in the injection mold operations.
Performs problem solving techniques to improve and maintain the quality standards of the products. Coordinates and implements engineering methods to the processes that support cost, delivery goals, and objectives.

Reports to: Manufacturing Engineer Manager


  • Responsible for equipment control conditions, along with start-up and shut-down procedures.
  • Implement continuous improvement activities.
  • Work closely with vendors and other locations to solve any issues with new or existing tools.
  • Work with vendors to get quotes on modifications or new tools.
  • Utilize problem solving techniques to debug new tooling and establish control conditions for the new tooling equipment.
  • Set up trials for new tooling.
  • Train Technical Personnel.
  • Must work in a safe manner in compliance with M-TEK policies and maintain an awareness of danger to themselves and others.
  • Follow established work practices that support compliance with all company policies, safety standards, 5S practices, regulatory and/or customer requirements.



  • High school or GED, required. Bachelor's degree in related field, preferred.


  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in injection mold or injection tooling.


  • Experience working with Windows operating system as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).


  • May be required to travel on company business.
  • Must be able to work any shift and overtime as required to support production and quality standards.


Work Environment

This job operates in an office and manufacturing environment, and routinely uses standard office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.


Physical Demands

The employee frequently is required to stand or walk for long periods of time; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee may frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee may also be required to work in hot temperatures.
